Today I finished disassembling the body parts, and started wondering where to find a speedo. I found a Dutch site,
CMS, Classic Motorcycle Supplies, they seem to have everything I could possibly need, and then some. I also found
Honda Heaven, where Koen has found manuals, parts numbers and other useful stuff. A third very useful site is HobbyWiki's
HondaDax with repair manuals and model identification. Another great site is
Honda-Dax, with a very informative history piece, parts etc.
As I was browsing, Chris' next door neighbour came in, looking for a chat. We started talking, and he told me he had an '80s Honda Chally, which was the girly version of the Dax! I bargained a little and bought it. It's in much worse condition than the Dax, but had all the missing spare parts that I needed. Speedo, headlight, turn signals, wheels, AND I would have another engine just in case! It also has a 17mm carburetor from the SS50, which I could use.

This is after washing it in the gas station!

Speedo. With 32534 Km.
